Barry Smyth and John deVere White
Barry Smyth is a fellow of the Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He has been a practicing valuer for almost 50 years. Throughout his career he has been involved in the sale, letting and valuation of commercial and residential property and development land.
He is a past chairman of the Society of Chartered Surveyors, deputy chairman of the Valuation Tribunal and a long standing member of the Presidents Panel from which the President of the Society of Chartered Surveyors appoints Arbitrators and Independent Experts.
Barry has had a particular involvement in third party references both as arbitrator and independent expert for the past 25 years in all areas of commercial property rent review and capital values.

Colin Smyth joined the firm as a consultant in 2021 having commenced his extensive property career back in 1999 as a Sales Negotiator with Sherry FitzGerald. He worked in a number of their Dublin branches including as Senior Negotiator in their Ranelagh Branch and was appointed Manager of their Drumcondra Branch in 2006.
In response to both market and client demands, Colin established the Valuations and Professional Services Department of Sherry FitzGerald in mid-2007. This Department offered a dedicated valuation service to private individuals and the legal profession across the greater Dublin area. Colin is a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland and a Registered Valuer with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
